Ritu Beri's Couture Collection

           I have been going through the recent Indian Fashion weeks, Mijwan, Will's...etc, but I did not see Ritu Beri's design. She is my personal favorite, I love the way she mixes Indian ethnic clothing with the modern feminine details of the west. I have been her ardent lover since my school days. So I thought of writing something about my favorite designer and her collection. This collection is from 2010, but its still hot and new. Her work is so independent of the main stream fashion styling that whatever she does is simply the fashion verdict. After years of international success , she has evolved more beautifully in expressing herself through her designs. She is perfect example for all those who dream about independence of expression through clothing. 
         Ritu Beri is a New Delhi based International fashion designer. She is the first Asian designer to head the French fashion brand, Scherrer. Ritu Beri brought her label alive in 1990 when India was still awakening to the couture era. Swift as silk she forayed into France, a protégé of embroidery maestro Francois Lesage.

         The first Indian fashion ambassador to show on the catwalks of Paris she then traveled the globe showing her creations to critical acclaim. Her presentations gave the French fashion connoisseurs a glimpse into mystical India. The Parisians were abuzz with exclamations and praises of the rich display of luxurious silks, brocades and the prevalent use of Mogul motifs.

This Hat is so feminine but still its very beautiful. I am a big fan of Philip Treacy but these hats are superbly  fabulous. I will change sides If I will have to!

              When asked what inspires her to the excellence, she briefs,"I believe that every new day comes with new ideas, aspirations and dreams. I take inspiration from life and things/people around me, and like any other form of art, it requires (a large) amount of research…and it’s a constant conquest to achieve something beyond the ordinary". While giving advice to the Women of the current time, she says "I believe that one should always dress to feel yourself. The outfit should make you feel comfortable and reflect your personality. One's own style is very important. The dress for this season is intimate, personal and real."
