Sometimes we have something very precious in some corner of our cupboard and we ignore it. But today go through your cupboard, find out something useless and use it in a new way. I am starting a new section as "ways to wear" where I will post new ideas about everyday clothes we have. Today i chose a scarf, I don't know but somehow I was always fascinated by a scarf right from my childhood, be it "chunari" of ethnic Indian wear salwar suit or a scarf in my neck. I tried wearing it many ways, a few days back I posted a very useful video on our official facebook page which I found on Youtube. I have found out three new ways other than those to wear a scarf!
The first one is by Veronica Gledhill, Associate Fashion Editor of Vogue. She wears a strip of silk scarf in an unusual way which changes her outfit entirely. She says:" I started wearing scarves like this in Paris when I got bored with the very traditional way of wearing them there. Sometimes I have the urge to dress like a Martha Graham dancer and wear simple but dramatic things paired with a leotard."
Any scarf with a longer length will do for this style. You can even take some bright color scarves for the color punch look like red or fuchsia. She takes one end of the scarf from her back in the right side to the top of her left shoulder then bringing the other end under the left arm to the back through her neck and then again bringing it from back to the front around the neck. Ofcourse, its very stylish, Its adds a freshness to any dress or a simple trouser or jeans. you can even pick metallic colors if you are planning to go to a nightclub to give any simple dress an ooomph factor. Don't forget that the color of the top and the scarf should be different.
This is another style to wear a scarf. We usually wear a sarong in the beach this way but the way in this picture it has been tied it looks just like a top. Just simply bring both the end of your scarf from your back and cross them loosely and tie it around your neck. You can use one more small scarf to tie around your neck to give it a royal style. Any color will go well in this style. But a scarf should be a little longer.
