Guide to choose and apply Concealer, Foundation, Blush-Part1

We all have a certain features of our face which we don't like or which we don't want to accentuate. How to conceal the basic flaws of nature, how to make our skin and features look more appropriate?
Perfect Makeup
Always remember,"Conceal Compact Blush" is our mantra. We all apply foundation but we miss the basic thought, a foundation is just like a naked make up which can be spotted very easily. We must make the makeup look natural and blended with skin. So conceal by using concealer, use a compact to hide uneven skin tone as well to hide the unimportant features and use a blush to accentuate facial features.
Concealer is the make up essential, most of us don't realize its important or are unaware of the miracles it does. If you have break outs, moles, uneven skin tone, dark circle or cracks a concealer can really help hide the skin flaws.

Under eye concealer
Concealer should be applied after foundation, so that it isn't wiped away when we apply foundation .
The main question is how to choose concealer shade and how to apply it. Concealer should be one or two shades lighter than your skin tone, as we learnt in last note about how to choose right shade for a skin tone. Creamy concealer are well suited for the face and under eye and powder concealers are suitable for face and body. For instance liquid concealer comes is more effective on dry skin, while solid compact style concealers make for right choice for oily skin. I personally prefer creamy concealer. You may find that you need different concealers for different seasons of the year. Skin tends to dry out more in the winter because of artificial heat, so you may need a moisturizing product. In the summer, skin holds more color so your concealer may need to go a shade darker than normal.Consider a water-resistant concealer so that tears, rain, or any type of water to which you are exposed won’t wash it away.
Choose a concealer with undertones in the shade that matches the undertones of your skin. For most people, this is either yellow or pink.

Copact, Conceal, Blush
For concealing a pimple, apply green concealer to red break outs, opposite from red on the color wheel is green, which means red and green cancel each other out. Do not rub; rather, pat gently with your finger or clean makeup sponge to blend. The green color should be blended out thoroughly.Don't forget to use the moisturizer and foundation as directed in the last note.
To properly apply concealer, apply several dots of concealer under the eyes, then use the pad of your middle finger to tap it in (always tap, never rub). Apply concealer on other uneven spots on the face including the chin, and around the nose and mouth if need be and tap in.Dust fine, loose powder over your face to set your makeup.

Covering Freckles!
After using a concealer use a high lighterand a compact to even out the skin tone and then use a Blush to accentuate your features.Using your powder brush, lightly apply highlighter to the area just above your cheekbones to enhance them and make them appear more prominent. The key is to apply highlighter with a light touch so that it doesn’t look harsh or obvious. Too much highlighter can make you look like a clown. Practice until you can apply it without leaving an obvious line of demarcation. Do you have a wide nose? Apply highlighter down the center of your nose and a darker shade of makeup subtly along the edges. If you have a weak chin, apply highlighter lightly to the tip of your chin to visually bring it forward, causing it to appear more prominent.Once you’ve applied highlighter above your cheekbones, apply a light application of blush directly to your cheekbones. Your cheekbones should appear more pronounced from the contrast of the colored blush next to the highlighter. Now that you’ve contoured your face with highlighter and applied blush, lightly apply a layer of translucent loose powder over the entire surface of your face. This will reduce shine and help to set your facial contouring.
Blush is available in powder, cream and stick form and each requires an initial orientation for correct usage. The powder variety is brushed on the face after powdering the face to even the skin tone while the cream and the stick blush makeup is added as a touch-up after the foundation has been applied. The latter types are then ‘set in’ with a light dusting of face powder. If you have a rounder face, contouring will help- use a pressed powder that is 2-3 shades darker than your skin tone.If you have a thinner face, apply blush to just the apples of the cheeks- it will soften your features some.If you have a warm skin tone, go for peach or gold based blushes.  If you have a cool skin tone, go for the pink blushes.Using an angled blush brush makes contouring much easier- you want something that isn’t too fluffy.
Where to apply blush according to the face shape.
Run your brush across the color palette. Tap the brush on the side to remove excess powder. Don't press hard on the brush, or you'll gunk up the bristles with powder.Use an upward sweeping motion to apply blush to the outer edge of your cheek bone. Add a hint of color to your chin and forehead to create a natural, warm look to your face. Take a look at your face in natural sunlight. Blend any areas where color is excessive or uneven.
